Basin Electric/Lake Region Electric
Lake Region/Basin Electric award is based on the following criteria: SAT/ACT scores, grade-point average, work experience, participation in school and community activities, a statement by the student explaining his/her educational and career goals, and a written recommendation by a third party.
Lake Region will be responsible to select one recipient to be awarded a scholarship in the member-cooperative consumer category. The final recipient's completed application will then be forwarded to Basin Electric Power Cooperative by Lake Region.
What are the recipient's obligations?
If the recipient is not enrolled as a full-time student during the fall semester after receiving the scholarship they will forfeit the monetary award. The scholarships are for one year only.
Except for the requirements outlined, no obligations will be imposed upon the student as a scholarship winner. Other than payment of the scholarship, no obligations or liability are assumed by Basin Electric, it's subsidiaries or Lake Region Electric.

To apply, you must complete the required criteria and the scholarship application, which can be obtained from your high school or Lake Region Electric.
